Cutting the grass

Dillon helped Daddy cut the grass yesterday. He loved it! He'll hear a motor type sound outside and tell us a big truck is coming or a motorcycle. All boy all the way! :)

Playing in the leaves

We had a fun afternoon on Friday playing in the leaves. The weather has been sunny and warmer, and we have enjoyed it! Here are some cute pictures. Dillon wasn't so crazy about it that day, but I think he's warming up to it - I hope to get some pictures of him tomorrow in the leaves. He had fun trying to kick me while swinging and Bridget was burying herself in the leaf pile.

Preschool field trip to the farm

Bridget had a field trip this week to the Williams farm, a local family who goes to the preschool church. They had a hayride (Dillon was quite excited!), chickens/horses, a campfire with 3 sisters stew, and a teepee. The kids learned about native american culture.

Here is her class with teachers Mrs. Bingham and Mrs. Paul.
Eating 3 sisters stew...yummy!

LOST TOOTH!

Sunday night while we were in Georgia, Bridget lost her 1st tooth!! It's her lower left front tooth. It had been loose for a few weeks, and looking a bit painful the last few days. She was dancing around the living room, stopped and said, I think I just lost my tooth. It had fallen out onto her tongue. The new tooth is already there and popping it's way through. She's sounding a bit funny when she makes "S" sounds. The tooth fairy was generous bringing her $2 in a special royal pouch that Grandma gave to Bridget.
My baby is growing up!!

Weekend in Georgia

We went to Georgia over Halloween weekend to visit Brian's family. Bridget has reached the age of "are we there yet?", "how much farther?", "when are we going to be there?" etc, etc. We hadn't seen Brian's parents since early June. We all needed a Grandma/Grandpa fix. :) We had a fun time. Bridget and Grandma played hairdresser...they talk with hoitytoity voices, it's cute! Dillon even tried on the wig, hahaha. Dillon played some basketball - his future career (well, or baseball, or football...you know anything with a ball involved). We went to the dairy for ice cream and saw the cows and tractors. We had a couple of nice visits with Grandma Dee. I know she was pleased to see the kids. It was hard to see her knowing what a full spirit she had....she's had a good life. I wish the end could be better.
Bridget and Brian designed our pumpkin with a crescent moon nose. Dillon had a lot of fun on our hayride Halloween night. We went to a cousin's house and had a hot dog cookout, good company and a hayride. When we got off the wagon Dillon said, "want more tractor." In fact, his favorite phrase of the weekend was, "one more time." Grandpa took Bridget and Dillon a wagon ride behind the lawn mower - and Dillon said, "one more time!" He loved it!
We were sad to leave, but know that we'll see Grandma and Grandpa in a few short weeks at Thanksgiving.
Here are a few collages of our fun! Enjoy.
