First snow of the season

We had snow the day of Dillon's birthday party!  Thankfully we could still have the party.  Here some play in the snow on Dec. 4th.  There was actually more snow on the ground on the 3rd...it started to melt b/4 we could get out there.

Birthday Boy!! Dillon is 3...WOW!

Dillon turned 3 on December 1st.  It's so hard to believe 3 years have gone by.  He now the age that Bridget was when he was born.  And just like her he amazes me everyday...in very different ways than she does, but in great ways!
He is 39 1/4" tall (78% - Dr thinks he's growing out a bit and will grow up faster soon...like his sis) and 37lbs (90%).
He is amazing with anything sports (of course!).  Cousin Jake thinks he'll be the first 3 sport professional athlete.  LOL  He hits the ball off the T, throws a perfect spiral, has a natural golf swing, and kicks the ball like there's no tomorrow.  Given all those achievements he hasn't focused on the academics like Bridget did.  We are working on recognizing the ABC's and numbers.  He can count past 20, and recite his ABC's.  He loves Imagination Movers and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney, and Yo Gabba Gabba on NickJr.  He's favorite superhero is most definitely Spiderman right now (hence the Spiderman birthday party).  He's quite the block builder right now too.
Dillon misses Bridget everyday when she is at school, but they make up for missed playtime when she gets home.
Three years down, lots of fun years to go!  Can't wait!  (although I don't want it to go too fast!)  :)

Marshall and Hancock Family pics

While we had the Hancocks here we took some pictures together...and pics of the cousins!

Toothless....

Bridget lost her first front tooth on the Friday after Thanksgiving.  It was REALLY loose and she finally just pulled it out!  Her 2nd front tooth is pretty loose too...I'd be surprised if it lasts until Christmas.

She has a pretty cute smile now!  :)

Thanksgiving 2010

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year with the Marshall/Hancock clan.  :)  It was a fun week!  Brian's parents came earlier in the week for Bridget's program at school.  Bridget, Dillon and I went with them to pick up Josh from school at UNC Chapel Hill.  He's a sophomore there...hard to believe!  The kids had fun playing with Josh on Wed while we waited for the rest of the gang to get here.

Thursday was a fun and relaxing day!  We had the usual turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole...etc...etc.  We played games, and hung out.  I am so thankful that we can all be together and have a wonderful time!

Friday Ann, Tammy and I went shopping.  Yes..we might be crazy, but it was good girl bonding time.  We didn't actually leave the house until 6:30...so we aren't as crazy as some!  The boys and Bridget hung out.  Brian, Bridget and Dillon picked up our Christmas tree.  That night we had movie night and pizza...yum!

Dillon was in 7th heaven playing baseball with Jake.  Jon, Josh, Brian and Dick joined them later!

We celebrated Dillon's birthday with everyone on Friday night as well.  He loves his new wheelie motorcycle and Wacka Mole game.

Thanksgiving program at Kindergarten

Bridget's class did a really neat Thanksgiving program at school on Nov. 22nd.  They sang a bunch of fun, festive songs and read a couple of poems.  Then we all stayed for a feast afterwards.  Mom, Ann, and Dick all came to see Bridget perform!!  She was so excited, and did such a great job!!

Bridget and her teacher, Ms. Davis.  We LOVE her!!  Bridget is having a really great time in Kindergarten.

Festival of Trees

Mom came for the weekend before Thanksgiving.  We haven't seen her since August!!  Bridget, Dillon, Mom and I went to the Festival of Trees.  It was neat to see all the different decorations, gingerbread houses, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus!!

Sweet Boy

Here are a couple cute pics of my sweet boy.
Aunt Tammy was here for a library conference at the beginning of November.  The kids really enjoyed having her around!

Halloween 2010

We had several Halloween outings!  There was the preschool Halloween Carnival, a carnival at another local church and then of course Halloween night.
Bridget was Pocohontas.  I got a basic costume and then we embellished it!  It was fun picking out the beads, and things with Bridget at the fabric store.  I also got her moccasin slippers from Target...of course they were a big hit (good thing is, she has been wearing them as her slippers around home!).
Dillon very definitely wanted to be a ghost.  I bought a sheet, cut it out, cut out eye holes, and glued black around the eyes and a mouth.  I made a chain out of pipe cleaners.  It was a great outfit.  He wore it about 2 times.  LOL  Halloween night came around and he did not want to walk around in it, so he was an impromptu cowboy instead.  He decided he was Woody instead of a ghost.
I think we decided to go trick or treating a little late...next year I guess we'll go when it's still light out.  We did not see very many other trick or treaters, but we got just the right amount of candy and the kids had fun.  That's what is important!!
Here are Dillon and Jonas (Jerry from Tom and Jerry) at the Halloween Carnival.
Bridget and Reilly at the Halloween Carnival.
My little ghost before the local church carnival.  (he didn't wear the costume once we got there, but isn't he cute!!)
A couple of Bridget or should I say Pocahontas before the local carnival.

I forgot that Bridget, Dillon and I went to a pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins this year!  Here are a couple of pics from that and from the carvings!

Brian's pumpkin took a lot longer...Bridget wanted a spooky castle.  You can see mine, it was easy and it's done.
 The finished products!

 Halloween night!  Pocahontas and Woody.
