Bridget's 6th Birthday

Hard to believe that 6 years have already gone by since we Bridget made our family more complete!  She has definitely grown a lot in 6 years!  This year has brought many changes:  teeth were lost, inches were added, and school started!!
After many different party ideas, Bridget decided on a Rock Star party.  We had a fun day...even with the rain.  We decided to invite Bridget's whole Kindergarten class b/c her birthday is so early in the year.  Only about half of her class came, but Bridget was really pleased!  It was also a good time for us to meet some other parents.  The party was at Leinbach Park in Winston and thankfully in a covered pavilion.  We did Pin the Pick on the Guitar and Freeze Dance.  I made guitar cakes.  It was a blast!!
Waiting in line for pin the pick on the guitar.

1st day of Dance class

Bridget started ballet/jazz classes again. This time at a new dance studio. It's much smaller and the lesson room actually has mirrors all around!! Bridget had a great first class. There were only 3 girls in the class, so she'll get a lot more/better attention.

Winston Salem Dash baseball game

In NJ we went to a Lakewood Blue Claws game and the kids loved it so much I wanted to get to a game here at home.  Our minor league team is the Winston Salem Dash.  They opened an awesome new stadium this year.  Last night was the last home game of the season.  Both kids were really excited to go to the game!!  We had good seats toward the outfield just past 1st base, so we could see everything.  I have a feeling we'll be catching a few Dash games next spring.

Our seats were to the left in that first green section...3rd row.
The Dash mascot is Bolt.  He was pretty funny.  :)
The pitcher warm-up mound was right in front of us.
Dillon is watching the pitcher warm-up.
After the game the players threw t-shirts and balls.  I caught a t-shirt, so Bridget went down to get it signed.
After Friday night games they do fireworks!  That was fun!!
After the fireworks Bridget and Dillon got a chance to run the bases.  That was definitely a highlight!!

Dillon's 1st day of Preschool

Dillon had a great 1st day of preschool! He was so excited to go. :) I managed to keep the tears at bay...although they were so close. He didn't even look back. Dillon has the same 1st year preschool teachers that Bridget had...Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Cumby. We loved them and I know he's going to have a great year! Reese Calvert is in his class....her sister Reilly was in Bridget's 1st preschool class too.
Dillon cried when I came back to get him b/c he didn't want to leave.

Dillon is in the Bees.

Saturday at the pool...

Last Saturday we went to the pool with Shannon, Mike, Xander, Jonas, Mandy and Claira. They belong to a fun local pool. It has a really big 2 foot section which is perfect for the little guys. Bridget and Dillon didn't want to leave!

Looks like Bridget is walking on the water in this picture. :)
