Halloween at Concord Church

We had 2 parties to go to on Saturday. After the preschool carnival, we went to Concord Church Chicken Stew and Halloween Party. After some yummy food, we went 'trick or treating' and played games in the game room below the fellowship hall.

On a side note: Bridget and Xander have known for awhile that they will be getting married some day. They are really adorable together. What's funny is, it's not just Bridget or just Xander who say it - they are in agreement. Bridget and I went to church on Sunday and Xander told everyone they would be getting married when he was 20. Bridget and I discussed this and decided they should wait a little longer. Of course, who knows what will happen in the next 20 years...but they are so cute right now. :)

Preschool Halloween Carnival

Bridget's Halloween Carnival was this past Saturday. We had a beautiful red princess dress - but when we put it on Bridget thought it was itchy and too big. So, we had to come up with another outfit on the fly. Bridget is a fairy queen. This is actually costume #1, for Halloween she is going to be a Divine Devil. :)

Here is Bridget with their class pumpkin Batty the Bat.

Here are Bridget and Minnie Mouse (aka: Reilly).

Photo Shoot - Bethabara Park

Last week we had a nice warm day...so I took the kids to Bethabara Park for a 'photo shoot' of sorts. Here are some of the pictures we took. There was a really pretty spot with good lighting and bench...so I tried to get some there, and then I had them run around too to get some natural pictures. Sometimes it's hard to get them to cooperate or give good smiles...but I think I got some cute pictures.

Not sure what they are looking at in this picture, but thought it was cute. (kind of wish their heads didn't look like one head LOL)

Dillon said, "hold hand please." He wanted to walk with me, I thought it was so cute.
Contemplative.....

We went to the playground after the park. Love this pic of Dillon on the swings.
Dillon climbed right on the jungle gym and wanted to go to the top. This kid is going to be really good at scaring me.

Playing in the driveway

Bridget is clearly too big for the tricycle. But, they had fun chasing each other around the driveway.
Could he get any cuter?
Bridget drew a witch on the driveway. She's a pretty cool witch!

Marcus and Brendan O's Bday party

Last weekend Bridget, Dillon and I went to a birthday party for the children of my good friend Erin. We went to Wake Forest together. Erin recently moved back to NC with her family - well 2 years ago and we haven't seen her yet!! We are excited to have her closer to us, and hope to see them more often! There was a Monster Truck bouncy house, face painting, and yummy pizza, cake and ice cream. The kids had a blast. Erin has 3 children....Jordan (7), Marcus (5), and Brendan (3). Here are some pics of our fun day! Thanks for inviting us Erin!!

Dillon LOVED the bouncy house! He had to warm up to it, but then started jumping around and falling over like the big kids.

Here's the face painter with Bridget.
Beautiful!
Here is Jordan (Erin's daughter), Raina (friend of Jordan's) and Bridget. Bridget had a blast with the older girls. The other 2 are both 7. (Note - Jordan is tall for her age and Raina is small for her age...just look at the 5 year old with them).
Brendan turned 3 this past Saturday! He loved his monster truck cake - so much so that he drove the trucks through it. LOL
Here are Marcus (he turned 5 on my birthday!) and Bridget eating cake.
Here are Erin and me after the party. (I have a Deacon painted on my cheek...however, I don't have a picture of it. Allan (he's Karen's husband and Karen is my friend Becky's sister - that's not too confusing right?) got a picture of it, so I need to get it from him!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch yesterday with Maythi, Reilly and Reese. It was a gorgeous day! The kids had fun running around in the pumpkins and for some reason pulling the grass. I couldn't seem to get a good pic of Bridget and Dillon together without him coughing (darn colds!)). Reilly and Reese were so cute!

playdates

On my birthday we had a playdate at the Children's Museum with Bridget's new friend, Grace. Grace has a little brother, Jackson who just turned 2, and a little sister Lily who will be 1 in Nov.
There is a new Clifford exhibit and it was a lot of fun.

Friday Dillon and I had a playdate with Emily and Megan. Megan and Dillon had fun going down the slide together. SO CUTE!
