New Year's Man

The New Year's Man visited our house again this year. He left Bridget and Dillon each a dollar of coins hidden in the tree. The New Year's Man brings us luck for the coming year. I bet it's going to be a great year!!

Christmas w/the Zelasko's

Scott, Ashley and Caroline came over the Tues after Christmas to celebrate with us. We had a nice visit. Caroline is growing so fast - she changes every time I see her. She's doing the commando crawl and it's so cute. I can't believe they'll be moving somewhere far far away in June! Bridget and Dillon have fun with their new cousin.

Christmas Eve/Day 2008

My Mom and sister came for Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we went to Concord UMC for a Christmas Eve service and Bridget played Mary in the manger scene. Xander was Joseph of course (they have both informed us that they will be getting married one day). Bridget wrote Santa a letter and left him cookies and a carrot for Rudolph. She was sad to see Conroy go - he was our Christmas Elf, but pleased to see that Santa visited and enjoyed his cookies and milk. (Every night Conroy went to see Santa and tell him about his day at our house and each morning he was sitting in a new spot.) Santa was good to the kids - how can he not be!! :) We had a nice relaxing day with a yummy ham/green bean/mashed potato/carrot meal.
Again everyone seemed to have a cold - so lots of tissues and coughing going on here. Other than Sarah we seem to all be getting better. (Sarah found out she has bronchitis, sinusitis and possibly pneumonia on Monday - ugh!! I hope she feels better before going back to school on Sunday).
Sarah stayed with us for New Year's Eve and Mom went to visit with Scott, Ashley and Caroline.

Christmas in GA

The weekend before Christmas we went to Georgia to celebrate with the Marshall's and the Hancock's. We had a great time. The weather was quite warm to start so everyone played ping pong. We visited Grandma Dee. She is always pleased to see the kids. Bridget and Dillon had a lot of fun with their cousins, Josh and Jake. It's hard to believe that Josh is already 17 and graduating from high school this year!! It was nice to have all of us together again. It's been awhile! Aunt Tammy and Uncle Jon got a good fix of Bridget and Dillon.
Most of us had a bit of a cold, so there was a lot of coughing. By the end of the weekend Dillon was covering his mouth when he coughed too. It was pretty cute - he's learning a lot by copying all of us! On our last night we went with Uncle Ralph, Aunt Shari, DeAnn, Brian, Mac, and Jessie to see some Christmas lights. We had some hot chocolate and cookies and took a couple of good pictures of all of us.
We don't see the Hancock's enough - hopefully we can change that in 2009.

(If you click on the picture you'll see it larger. I thought a collage would be the easiest way to show a bunch of pictures. If you see a picture in it that you want I can email the full size to you)

Random pics Dec. 2008

Here a few shots around the holidays - decorating the tree, and making cookies.

This picture is from Bridget's little Christmas show at school. She was an angel. It was cute, they sang a song, and read the story of Christmas. Next to Bridget is her friend Katy. They have a lot of fun together.

Christmas Card pictures

Thought I'd post a few of the pictures from our Christmas card photo session. Bridget had a great smile everytime, of course! Dillon was harder to get a good expression. I especially like the 'fake' cry shot of him at the end. :)

Winston Salem Christmas Parade 12/6/08

Bridget and I were in the Winston Salem Christmas Parade this year. Bridget is taking ballet/jazz/tap lessons with Miss Pamela Beamon. The parade was a lot of fun. Bridget was dressed up as an elf. Bridget is really enjoying her dance class. While she doesn't want to show us what she's learning, it comes out when she's dancing around the living room!
Here are all the dancers that were in the parade. (Miss Pam is on the far left.)

Here is the cutest one in the parade!! Bridget had fun standing in the car shaking a ribbon tambourine that Miss Pam made.
