New Year's Man

To start the new year the New Year's Man leaves money on the Christmas tree. This is to bring good luck and happiness for the new year. We did this when I was a child and have continued the tradition with the kids. They have fun trying to find the money and it's not always easy. The new year's man tries to keep the money low for little people. Then they divide the money equally and put it in their piggy banks. Mom and Alan were here this year for the New Year's Man's visit.
