Dying Easter Eggs

We had fun dying Easter eggs last Saturday. Bridget loved putting the eggs in the dye and getting them out. Dillon loved writing on his egg first. We had a set with funny faces to put on the eggs. Bridget's favorite was the egg with the sideways mouth. This thing will only let me upload so many photos at once...so will have another post with funny face photos.

Paper Mache eggs

Bridget, my friend Jenn and I made paper mache eggs on balloons. It was fun. I don't have a picture of the finished product...but here are a couple of work in progress shots.

sandbox

This was Dillon's first time in the sandbox. He enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought having the paci in would stop him from eating sand....I was wrong. He got sand on the paci and then in his mouth. LOL

Chicks at the Post Office

Bridget, Dillon and I met Emily and Megan at the park today. Before we met them B, D and I went to the post office. We heard cheeping while we were there. What was it? Chicks that were mailed and waiting for pickup. We talked to the postal worker and learned that you can't mail giraffes, or scorpions, but you can mail baby chicks.

At the park we had a nice picnic lunch and then played and played!

Pics from PA trip

Here are pics from our trip to PA. It seemed easiest to make them a collage. You can click on each to make it bigger, and I've uploaded them to Picasa, so you can go see or download individual ones there if you want. I separated them out - the first collage is pics from the trip...visit with G.G. (my grandmother), Aunt Sally/Uncle Andy, Janet/Tim, Wendy/Kristian/Konrad/Kirk, Amy/Gabby, and Jen/Matthew. There's a cute one of Konrad running down the slide. Also, notice the one of 4 kids...Bridget, Gabby, Dillon and Matthew - I've been friends with Amy and Jen since I was Bridget's age. We had fun feeding the fish at the pond at Artman - where my grandma lives. And a yummy dinner with Aunt Sally and Uncle Andy. It was a relaxing and busy trip.

The second collage is of our visit to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. It was a really fun day with my Mom. The museum is full of great hands on exhibits. A waterworks area, Alice in Wonderland (Bridget's favorite place), a transportation area, a musical rainforest, a neat refursbished old old carousel, a Statue of Liberty torch made of used toys, and a fun little puppet show. We'll be visiting this museum again when we are up there this summer.

Pennsylvania

We had a great trip to PA last week. We had a great visit with my Mom, Grandmother, Aunt Sally/Uncle Andy, and friends. I got to meet my friend Jen's son, Matthew, for the first time. He's such a cutie. Also, met my friend Wendy's sons, Konrad and Kirk...so cute!! I love that we are all having kids - of course conversation changes to being all about the kids. LOL

We went to the greatest children's museum in Philly on Monday. It was the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park. The kids had a blast. It was so open and airy - with fun exhibits...Alice in Wonderland, Transportation center, Rainforest jungle....and an awesome little puppet show. There was also a vintage, refinished carousel. We finished a good day with a good dinner at Aunt Sally and Uncle Andy's house. It was good to see them too!!

We had a nice relaxing time. I've uploaded pics to the computer, and will get them blogged soon. We are busy watching the Carolina Championship game tonight...Go Heels!!
